We the family, loved ones, friends, and community in support of justice for Andy Burghoffer Sr. urge the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles to keep Megan Melissa Hendrix behind bars for the maximum duration of her sentence. She does not deserve early release or parole!

She is a detriment to society with the lack of ability to decision make in a way that can ensure that she does not harm others. In acknowledgment of the plain facts of her crimes committed she deserves to serve her full sentence. She not only endangered but physically harmed her biological children, both under her guardianship and care as well as within her physical body, having made the active choice to knowingly use a long list of body and mind altering drugs and get behind the wheel while pregnant, with child and adult passengers. Her own life, the life of her children's father, and the lives of her children were not valued enough for her to make different choices. She not only harmed everyone within her vehicle, but at maximum speed hit two other vehicles that were at a complete stop at a red light. 

Andy Burghoffer Sr. does not get to move on from her selfish careless negligence. We feel that Megan Melissa Hendrix should be imprisoned for all of the years he would have still gotten to live, love, and share his wonderful joyous presence and care with all of us left behind, but at the absolute very least she NEEDS to serve the length of her conviction. 

She has already been granted grace in her negotiations with having pled down from her original potential conviction and length of sentancing:

Homicide by vehicle – 4 counts

DUI/Drugs/Less Safe – 3 counts

Serious Injury by Vehicle – 16 counts

Andy was and is cherished, mourned, and missed daily by his wife, Geraldine, his son Andy Jr., and his daughter, Elaine, as well as his brothers, nephews and nieces, extended family, friends, coworkers, and community. We remind you that he was a wonderful, generous, intelligent, happy, loving man with a life that reflected his kindness and good-natured personality. He was a hard worker and provider not only in material means but also in wisdom, conversation, laughter, and genuine caring presence. 

Andy did not deserve to die in such a brutal tragic way having endured not only the very serious injuries sustained on impact, but also so very heartbreakly having burned alive in flames. His life mattered! It still matters! We are still suffering, still mourning!

Meghan Melissa Hendrix's sentence is not about her future. It's not about whatever effort or lack of effort she's put into that future. Her sentence is about what she's already done. JUSTICE FOR ANDY BURGHOFFER SR., the man Meghan murdered brutally! It's about the life she ended, the life she stole from all of us, and the harm she caused so many including children! We beg and plead that she serve her sentence behind bars so that she has less of a chance of hurting or murdering someone else's person, someone else's dad, husband, brother, best friend, entire world.

We miss Andy. Nothing she can do will bring him back. Staying in prison is the very least she can do.
