Justice For Alvin The Capybara - Fort Worth Seaquest

Justice For Alvin The Capybara - Fort Worth Seaquest
The Issue
Alvin the capybara has been captive at Seaquest and has been used for entertainment for years. His conditions are deplorable. Upon visiting, Alvin’s demeanor was depressed and lethargic. He is kept in a small concrete enclosure, where he is used for entertainment. Alvin is all alone in his enclosure. While capybaras can thrive independently, it is most common for them to be in groups of up to 40. The source of water he has is hardly enough for him to swim in. Capybaras are known for spending half their time in water and can go up to 35 kph (21 mph).
We know that since he has been kept in the enclosure for years, he is unable to be returned to the wild. We would like to see Alvin in a more natural environment. One where there isn’t a constant stream of people constantly gawking at him. We want him in an environment where he can be a capybara, one with more space and a place with more open water. Alvin deserves to live a full healthy life. Under his current conditions, it is likely he will die prematurely.
Justice For Alvin.
