The petition has been a revelation; we would have been happy if a hundred friends and family had signed.  But Alfie had over 86,000 supporters in the first week and the petition continues to grow.  With everything that was and is happening in the world, it is beyond amazing that so many people were so concerned about the treatment of one young boy by his local authority.  We are so grateful.

We weren’t entirely sure at first what the petition would achieve.  It turns out that it is a huge asset.  There are 100,000 pairs of eyes on everything that happens; Alfie’s situation is so much more visible. There are thousands of messages of support, encouragement, and advice.  Alfie gets great comfort from all your kind messages, as do his family.

There is no way to thank you all enough for the support, encouragement and advice received. Alfie’s chances of success would be so much less without you.  It really helps Alfie to know you are all on his side.  We are so grateful for your support and will do our very best to turn your support into a result.
