Justice for Alassane: Demand a Transparent Investigation into His Death

Justice for Alassane: Demand a Transparent Investigation into His Death
The Issue
We are the Sangare family - Kadiatou, the mother, Djeneba, Fatou, Ami, and Maimouna, the daughters, and Kelly, the daughter-in-law. We are here today to ask for your support in our fight for justice for Alassane, our beloved son, brother, and husband.
Alassane was a hardworking and loving father of three young children. He was respected and appreciated by his colleagues at Bouygues Energies and Services, where he worked as a team leader for over ten years.
In November 2022, Alassane was placed in pretrial detention at Fleury-Mérogis, in France, following a neighborhood dispute. Just six and a half days later, we received the devastating news of his death. The prison administration claimed it was a suicide, but we do not believe this to be true.
Alassane had no history of mental health issues or suicidal tendencies. He was a happy and fulfilled man, both personally and professionally. Furthermore, his body bore suspicious marks of beatings, making us believe that his death was not a suicide but a result of violence.
We have filed a complaint for voluntary aggravated violence resulting in death without the intent to kill. However, we need your support to demand a transparent investigation into his death.
Without a thorough and impartial investigation, we may never know the truth about what happened to Alassane. We need to know what happened to be able to grieve and move on. We also need to ensure that Tidiane, Alassane's 8-year-old son, grows up knowing that the justice system did not fail his father.
Please sign this petition and stand with us in our fight for justice for Alassane. Your support can make a real difference in our struggle to uncover the truth.
Sincerely,
The Sangare Family
