All of us are impacted when animal cruelty festers in our communities. The tragedy of traumatized horses who become difficult to handle, often ending up being sold to feed lots and shipped off to become meat in other countries is a story that is frequent and heartbreaking.
People like Geneva need help and intervention to stop hurting animals and it is up to our horse community to keep our eyes open, not just 'mind our own business,' and speak up for these horses who may speak to us through their big hearts but rely on us to have a voice and protection.
If Geneva is not stopped, it is likely that she will continue to use her violent, illegal, and unethical practices on more horses.
It is crucial that we act now, to show the Marion County DA and community at large how abhorrent and disgusting her actions have been. She will be arranged in a few short weeks and in the meantime could be out there hurting more animals. This travesty cannot continue. We must speak up for the horses, NOW!
