"Never will I fail those with whom I serve."
-Special Forces Creed
19 years and 10 months since he started working for the US Government, 371 days after I told his family that our evacuations efforts had failed, and 369 days since I promised that we would not forget them, Bostan, the former Leader of NMRG Team # 11 arrived in Washington DC with his family. On the anniversary of the final troops leaving Afghanistan, had the once in a lifetime honor of being there to welcome them to the US.
I am just "the narrative guy". A huge thanks to everyone who made this possible, particularly a Green Beret named "Dave" and the members of the Moral Compass Federation. No matter what happens now, everything that Team 11 has struggled for will have been worth the sacrifice.
This is nowhere near the end however, and our work in Liberating The Oppressed continues. Recently I have cited 2,000 people as the remaining number of NMRG and family in Afghanistan: 5 down. 1,995 to go.
Welcome Home Bostan!
