Chance was a loving and happy hyper puppy who loved to find away to escape and just run and make his family chase him he was a awesome family member that loved to play with my son's girlfriend son Gage and his friends he would greet people when they came in the door even the ones who were afraid of dogs loved chance he may have been a pitbull but he was never aggressive towards anyone. Tuesday may 10 was running loose while my son and daughter were at a interview she got a call from animal control called her and said he was running and while Megan was on the phone trying to find someone who would go and pick him up from running or talking to animal control to tranquilizer him and take him to the humane society until she could get back and take care of him. Animal control told her she had to call Cass county Marshalls office and talk to them and when she did the marshall proceeded to tell her that Chance was aggressive and he shot him from over 20 feet from Chance in the back yard of the empty house next to theirs and left him to lay where Megan had to go pick up her baby and there she found they excessively shot him 3 times because he thought he was aggressive which animal control new he wasn't now this is a outrage this poor baby got shot because he was profiled and then the police officer then tells her that they weren't going to tranquilizer him because they couldn't and that they shelter was full anyways. Chance needs justice and so does Gage and his parents this wasn't just a dog he was their family member we need Justice for Chance and his family this police officer/ marshall needs to be held accountable for his actions ANIMAL CRUELTY is a federal offense and this was animal cruelty 3 times he was shot for standing in the yard next door where he was viciously murdered in cold blood so please help my family and Chance get the justice they need to help them grieve the four legged baby they lost because this marshall thinks hes above the law sign our petition we are fighting people who are supposed to up hold the law my family and I thank you for any help you can help us with to get our story out not all pitbulls are dangerous just the one who are taught that way and Chance wasn't he was innocent and murdered
