It’s never fun sharing news of animal cruelty but this heartbreaking story reminded us of Baron and how important it is to raise awareness of these cases. Tres, an 8-month-old puppy in Pennsylvania, was allegedly kicked so hard by a man named Marcus Smiley, that he suffered broken ribs and a leg broken so badly, it had to be amputated. We put together more information about Tres on our blog, including a video and some links to a petition and a fundraiser to help the people who rescued him with their high vet bills. They’re hoping to raise $3,000 but have only raised $400 so far -- with 300,000 petition signers, if just a few of us chip in a couple bucks, they'll reach their goal!
