We’ve been monitoring news about Baron closely and there haven't been any updates since he was adopted. We know that his new family said they wanted to take some time so this isn’t surprising. Michigan Humane Society is still offering a $40,000 reward for his abuser.
We want to keep sharing some of the powerful rescue stories that were sent to us by petition signers like you and found time to post three of them on our blog! They’re heartwarming and prove how important adopting is.
Lightfoot: This heartbreaking story is about an abused dog found on a road covered in fleas, ticks, and flatforms, and had broken teeth and bird shot (gun pellets) in both of his ears. With love and help from a couple that found him and brought him home, he found a new chance at life.

Jack, Eadie, Nadia, and Aden: This story is about four dogs rescued by Sam over the course of eight years who each brought him joy in many ways. Read their full story: https://doggopupper.com/2017/03/09/rescue-story-jack-eadie-nadia-and-aden/

Benny: Benny was found tied up to a tree in Arizona. He didn’t trust people and had difficulty getting adopted. That didn’t deter Sandy, who took him in and wouldn’t give up on him.

Thanks again for sending us so many rescue stories to highlight the importance of giving dogs, even those who suffered abuse, loving homes.
