Justice For A Cat named Willy

The Issue

 A sad day for Willy

Please take a moment to read the following story about a cat named Willy.

Today was a very sad day for a cat named Willy! Some of you may be familiar with him, some of you contributed to his fund raiser and some of you left kind words. Sadly, what could have been a wonderful rest of his life ended abruptly today.

Willy was trapped by a very unscrupulous trapper by the name of who has a.  From the moment the colony care giver was told Willy needed his eye removed, people from the East and West Coast of Florida jumped into action to help Willy and found not ONE but TWO willing sanctuaries that are dedicated to injured, disabled feral cats. Both sanctuaries were willing to take Willy. The colony care giver took care of placement and transportation for Willy to get into what would have been his safe forever home where he could live out the rest of his life without the risk of predators, cars or being bullied and picked on by other cats. Well, that is if weren’t for the cruelest inhumane action anyone in animal rescue could do to a handicapped animal and throw them back on the street.

blatantly and adamantly refused to relinquish Willy back to the colony care giver. Instead, became belligerent towards the colony care giver, telling her was not going to repeat and what didn’t she understand? was not going to go back and forth about it and I am busy right now.  I am going to release the cat back on the streets. This is how you treat people who pay you for your services?

Well ladies and gentlemen, I am here to burst a bubble on.

I am affiliated with one of the rescuers that wanted to help Willy and left a voice message stating that all we wanted to do was save Willy from a life on the streets. What did do?  This unprofessional trapper ignored our pleas to help Willy and told the colony care giver would not ALLOW it and if the colony care giver wanted to re-trap Willy could do it.

REALLY and you care about the animals’ wellbeing?

TRAPPING 101 – you don’t release a cat to retraumatize. Any professional trapper knows this, and a true blooded animal advocate/rescuer would never deny an animal a home if one is available.

promotes herself as an animal advocate. FB page says… if that statement was truly transparent – Why did you release a handicapped animal when he had a guaranteed home? Why would an animal rescuer put a cat through the trauma of being trapped a second time?

You cannot treat people disrespectfully and deprive an animal of a home. I have talked with many people from the east to the west coast and gosh no one had a good word to say about. It was quite the opposite; “OMG please tell me you didn’t use, oh no – not!!” Anyone see a pattern here?!!

Sadly, at the cost of an innocent cat named Willy the veil is coming down and you are being exposed for the heartless fraud that you are.

I am pleading with the cat community of Broward County and across the state of Florida –

If you have not had a good experience with the trapper, please come forward and speak up.  You can contact me and remain anonymous; and for those who wish to stay ignorant or silent to this sociopath; I pity the cats who will suffer and be negatively affected.

DO NOT entertain the thought of thinking is transparent and has the best interest of the animal in mind because clearly by how treated Willy and released him abruptly without giving the colony care giver a moment to see him is just cruel. The colony care giver told this trapper she wanted to be there to see Willy before released him. Can you imagine how distraught is over this whole bad situation created by an unprofessional heartless person who claims otherwise.

was paid to perform a service. That is all that was required of. had no right to decide what was best for someone else’s colonies. Especially when the animal has a chance to live out their lives in a safer environment.

As a result of actions, I will be starting a petition to dissolve 501© license and possibly going to the news with this story.   Please speak up!  Don’t let this happen to another animal.  Some of the stories I have heard are heartless.  We don’t need another fake/unscrupulous rescue out there pretending to care about the animals they are supposed to be helping.  No one with that rescue name would ever do anything like this for the love of cats.
