The Issue

On the night of June 3rd, in a horrifying act of animal cruelty, four stray dogs were found dead and six others severely injured after allegedly eating poisoned chicken biryani near a taxi stand in Rajajipuram, Lucknow, around 2–3 AM.

These innocent, hungry souls were targeted and killed in one of the most cold-blooded and inhumane ways possible. Stray animals already struggle to survive—how can anyone justify poisoning them in such a brutal way?

This is not just a case of animal cruelty. It is a criminal offense under:

IPC Section 429: Mischief by killing or maiming animals
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960

As concerned citizens, we demand:

Immediate registration of an FIR against unknown perpetrators
Investigation and CCTV verification in the area
Publicly shared updates from local authorities and police
Strengthening of stray animal protection protocols in Karnataka
Implementation of community feeding zones and surveillance in high-risk areas

These dogs were voiceless. They trusted us. And we betrayed them.

Let this not be another case that fades away in silence.

Sign this petition to demand justice. Share widely. Let the Government know that we will not stand by and let our animals be murdered.
