Justice for 18-Year-Old High School Student Shot by ATF Agent in Aliquippa

Justice for 18-Year-Old High School Student Shot by ATF Agent in Aliquippa
The Issue
On September 18, 2025, 18-year-old Kendric Curtis, a high school senior in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, was shot and killed by an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). He died at the hospital early the next morning.
Kendric was a student. A classmate. A son. His death has shattered a school and a community — and left behind more questions than answers.
Authorities say Kendric was “armed,” but the public has received no bodycam footage, no video evidence, and no explanation for why a federal agency was conducting an operation in a residential neighborhood full of families and students — or why lethal force was used.
As of now:
The ATF has not named the agent involved in the shooting
No timeline or full incident report has been released
The FBI and ATF say they are “supporting” an investigation, but the case is being led by Pennsylvania State Police.
We demand a federal, independent investigation into the fatal shooting of Kendric Curtis.
We call on the U.S. Department of Justice, the ATF Office of Professional Responsibility, and the Pennsylvania State Police to:
- Release all bodycam, surveillance, and incident footage related to the shooting
- Make public the identity of the ATF agent involved
- Ensure Kendric’s death is investigated by an independent agency, not just law enforcement colleagues
- Commit to transparency with the family and community throughout the investigation.
Kendric’s life mattered. His community deserves answers. And no family should have to bury their child without knowing the full truth.
