From Classrooms to Custody: 1158 Professors Arrested

Today in Sangrur, 1158 Assistant Professors and Librarians, along with 16 companions, were arrested by Punjab Police while raising their voices outside CM Bhagwant Mann’s residence. Even veteran comrades were taken into custody, and many were harassed by the police.

These are qualified teachers with NET, PhDs, and years of service — yet instead of justice, they are being silenced. The Punjab Government still has not filed the review petition that could safeguard their futures.
