The veteran investigative reporting/podcasting tandem of Marie McGovern and Martin Dunn (both formerly of the NY Daily News) are not just covering the story of Tiffany Valiante’s suspicious death, their relentless digging and dot-connecting is a significant part of the story, and the newly-filed, evidence-laden lawsuit seeking #JusticeforTiffany. Their upcoming, multi-part podcast - Death in the Pine Barrens: The Mysterious Case of Tiffany Valiante - debuts in early fall.

The team, co-founders of Street Smart Video, is credited by the D’Amato Law Firm team, Valiante Family Counsel, for conducting the months long, tedious text-message mining - literally sifting through terabytes of  newly-discovered messages/threads on Tiffany’s cell phones.  This digital break through, paired with the forensic examination of Cornerstone Discovery, is highlighted in the new filing, believed to be the first under the N.J. Crime Victims Bill of Rights. The recovered, graphic messages, likely thought by certain participants to have been forever deleted, reveals numerous deeply troubling, hate-filled, threatening and homophobic messages targeting Tiffany, who was gay. Combined with other data points, this new information is central to the assertion that Tiffany’s death was likely a hate-crime murder. Not suicide.

The McGovern-Dunn podcast is expected to be released in September 2025.
