Defying Protocol — Seeking Australian Ambassador Leads to Detention:

Despite numerous appeals to the Australian Embassy in Greece over several years, aimed at expediting a resolution to this ongoing Hostage situation, thus far, proven unfruitful, I visited the embassy again on September 08th, 2023, seeking an audience with the ambassador for dialogue.

• The visit took place after sending a formal correspondence four days earlier, requesting a meeting with their diplomatic representative to present immediate action on the ongoing issues. Furthermore, reasonable proposals were once again submitted for their Prime Minister and the Minister of Immigration, Citizenship, and Multicultural Affairs to review earlier that day.
• Despite the initiation of endeavors to procure support from the Australian Embassy in Greece dating back to 2017, and notwithstanding the abject circumstances prevalent outside the UNHCR office, there still persists a lacuna of positive response to my earnest entreaties for assistance.
• My 2020 resettlement application to Australia was denied due to a missing UNHCR referral, potentially influenced by the two Greek women I met during my second hunger strike, who were possibly acting as intermediaries in buying Australia time to decline my application without due consideration.
• The visit ultimately ended unfavorably as I was denied entry and those present ignored my attempted communications. More disconcerting was the police involvement. Upon arrival and misstatements, I was taken to and detained at the station for a long time without being interrogated, before eventually being released.
