Dear Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau and dear Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, Sean Fraser;
I am reaching out to you again regarding the matters brought to your attention earlier via this email chain.*
My dire situation outside the UNHCR office in Athens, Greece is extremely critical and life threatening, yet still remains unresolved and completely unattended. I have now been forced into undergoing over 8-months long Hunger Strike here, without any relief or reliable support from anywhere, even to help sustain my life and I am now once again at imminent risk of survival.
I feel completely isolated and cut off from everywhere, because here in this country, no matter what lies they may tell to the world, but despite all that is happening right here outside this UN Agency, still absolutely nobody helps. I hardly survived the freezing temperature last winter without heat or even sufficient clothing (Watch this: https://youtu.be/f9ZGTKedJbk and as the summer approaches, I fear they may once again vanish my shelter with all my belongings and consequently I may even lose this little protection for the third summer in a row, which, if not anything at all, at least keeping me safe from the elements.
Because here rather than working to address and resolve my case, they seem too focused on creating the conditions for my demise whether by starvation or any other means with the ultimate aim of covering everything up as if my life never mattered at all. The situation is so bad that at this very moment I am absolutely without cash or any other means for that matter even to get myself safe drinking water. Practically, this has been deliberately weaponized and turned into a persistent life threatening and an existential threat to me which I have been forced to deal with on a daily basis now with no end in sight.
Hence, as my dire situation still continues and whereas I have not heard anything back from the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship regarding my earlier request for urgent assistance I have decided on reaching out to you again in order to plead for urgent consideration of one of the following propositions and thereby help bring an end to my prolonged imprisonment and complete deprivation in Greece:
✓ Please grant me entry to Canada’s territory and let me seek Asylum/Protection there upon arrival.
✓ OR please accept a Refugee Resettlement Application from me without a Resettlement Referral from the UNHCR office and also without the need for acquiring Private Sponsors (G5).
✓ OR please issue a formal expression of interest in granting me Asylum which should be addressed to the office of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) so that my Resettlement in Canada through this UN Agency could occur immediately and without any further delays and procrastination whether deliberate or otherwise.
Furthermore, due to the severity of the situation, I would also like to request an emergency grant on humanitarian grounds to help sustain my life while I am still awaiting a response to the above urgent pleading with your government for Asylum.
If need be I can fill out any forms that might be needed in order for this request to be processed. What you read above is my latest email addressed to the Prime Minister of Canada and Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship which was sent on Tuesday, May 24th, 2022.
The Canadian Parliament, the Parliamentary Committees of Citizenship and Immigration (CIMM), Justice and Human Rights (Just), the Subcommittee on International Human Rights (SDIR), Senate of Canada, the Senate Human Rights Committee (RIDR), Canadian Human Rights Commission (CHRC), Canada’s Missions to the United Nations, Canadian Embassies in Italy and Greece and lastly UNHCR offices in Canada, Italy and Greece were all among the recipients of this email.
Two days after my email was sent, the office of the Prime Minister sent its response which is almost identical to their second reply from months earlier on Thursday, December 16th, 2021, without really responding to any of my propositions. See their previous reply at the given link below:
