Without Shelter and Sleepless, Still Ended Up at Police Custody for the Third Time in Less Than 24-hours Over Seeking Help from UNHCR Office - Videos of All Three Removals - Tuesday, June 15th, 2021
Due to the rainy weather from Sunday night and also due to the fact that I am still without shelter, same as the night before I didn’t have any sleep on Monday night either.
Although on Sunday night my sleep was disturbed in the bushes at the yard of the National Library of Greece because of the rain, but on Monday night though it was raining again, but I couldn’t get any rest mainly because of the repeated harassments of the Police and the guards at doorsteps of the UNHCR office, where I was hoping to seek shelter from the rain.
For the first time ever in over a month, on Monday night after publishing the video(s) of the day in the yard of the National Library of Greece, where I usually go to use electricity and the internet, I was able to catch the last bus and get back to the doorsteps of the UNHCR Office where I had been since early morning and left after my Phone died.
I knew if they leave me in peace at least I would be safe from the rain for the night and could possibly get some sleep after about 48 hours of sleeplessness.
However, at 01:30 AM at the doorsteps of the UNHCR office the police had disturbed my sleep. They told me either to leave OR go with them to the Police Station. Since clearly, I had nowhere else to seek shelter at, I had to collect my belongings and go with them.
They kept me at the Police Station for half an hour before I was being let go. But the same two Policeman came back again to remove me from the doorsteps of the UNHCR about two hours later for the second time.
This time they held me for about two hours at the Police Station before I was being let go again. However, one of the two Policeman who took me there, threatened if I publish their pictures OR videos, they will find me. Whatever that means!
After leaving the Ambelokipi Police Station for the second time and by the time I got back to the doorsteps of the UNHCR again, it was 06:00 AM in the morning. It wasn’t dark anymore and also it wasn’t raining anymore.
After my first release from the Police Custody and on my way back to the doorsteps of the UNHCR I found a piece of Carton; an empty box used for goods; due to cold weather I took it with me so I could place it beneath my sleeping bag while laying down and trying to get some sleep.
I couldn’t take the Carton with me to the Police Station when the Police took me there for the second time and had to leave it on the spot where I was trying to get some sleep at the doorsteps of the UNHCR office.
Although before the Police took me away on the second occasion, I told the guard not to throw it away, but when I got back there again, I realized that the security guard of the building, which is one of the most fascist ones, not only had thrown it away, but also torn it apart, so I wouldn’t be able to use it again. And because of the rain, it was clear that for the time being I wouldn’t be able to find a new one anywhere else.
Aside from this it had also come to my attention that the people from the building OR from the UNHCR office have given instructions for installing a traffic cone exactly where my shelters used to be in front of the UNHCR Office. The purpose of which is obviously to serve as an obstacle if and when I try to place another shelter there in front of the UNHCR office.
That of course presuming if I had any money OR financial stability to do so. Which I don’t, and they know it too well, because I had written to them, yet they go and do this as yet another orchestrated effort to deter me from being here OR seeking UNHCR’s assistance for my Resettlement and finding a Durable and Sustainable solution for my life. In other words, sticking to the years of their failed attempts for my further imprisonment in Greece rather than acknowledging the issue at hand and referring my case for Resettlement in another country.
If what they had so ruthlessly brought upon my life had happened to anyone in any civilized country, this would have now turned into a Nationwide movement, but here after they robbed me of everything they now want to starve me to death, cover it up and expecting to get away with it. And the worst part of it is everyone seems to go along with it, as if nothing is happening at all.
Although after my second discharge from the Police Station I returned to and continued to be at the doorsteps of the UNHCR Office for the rest of the day to come and had also inform them again of my dire needs for my urgent accommodation through one of their guards, but soon after I found myself surrounded again by as many as 6 Police Officer, 4 of them in black uniforms arrived by two Motorcycles and the two others arrived by a Patrol Car who took me to the Ambelokipi Police Station again and held me there for over 2 hours again before I was being let go again.
Upon my release they warned me of my return back there to the doorsteps of the UNHCR office. I asked to be transferred to a deportation camp, but they ignored, I asked for assistance for my proper accommodation through the NGOs but they ignored that as well.
Since I hadn’t had any sleep for the past 72-hours and the weather forecast said it was going to rain again on Tuesday night, I couldn’t keep myself awake and also wouldn’t be able to bear ending up in detention again for being at the doorsteps of the UNHCR, I still had to make more sacrifice, to get the rest that was essential now, in order to survive, live another day and continue the fight against this ongoing oppression.
Which is why again I had to seek shelter somewhere else other than at the doorsteps of the UNHCR office. But again, this would only be temporarily until I could figure something out.
I publish photos of my removal from the doorsteps of the UNHCR office on Tuesday, but haven’t been able to publish the videos till now. This is the videos of all three removals from the doorsteps of the UNHCR on Tuesday, Midnight.
For someone in my situation and in such a disgusting place, justice never seems to be served. This is one of the very reasons why I fear for my life, my safety and well-being in this country.
Nothing like this should happen to anyone, anywhere and no one should be put through a situation like this.
This is a dire emergency. Please do not be indifferent and ignorant to what is happening here and take action now.
I look forward to seeing your solidarity and support in whatever ways possible. Thank you
Yours Respectfully;
