Just Eat needs to change its refund policy to protect catering businesses
The Issue
Recently, Just Eat has conducted a new refund policy that allows customers to get a full refund, without even notifying the businesses who provide the food and service on behalf of the businesses.
A customer can easily order the food and has it delivered and enjoy it before getting a full refund via Just Eat. All the way, the businesses who provide the food and service do not even realise - as the food provider, we deserve to know and have the final say to decide whether the complaint is genuine or not, which kind of refund we should give.
But Just Eat has decided to refund fully to everyone who applies for a refund and this is done without even notifying the businesses. We are only able to find out from our weekly invoice from Just Eat. By the time we are notified, we are not able to trace exactly which order has been refunded and which address we should be aware of next time.
We are paying 20% of our takings to Just Eat, we have the right to know why an order has been refunded from our pockets, who is repeatedly abusing the system. Just Eat should protect your business partners' rights, not fraudsters.
