I am wanting to create this petition to try put a stop to drug driving. In 2022, there were 58,117 reported cases of drug driving compared to the 41,457 in 2014. That is a staggering 40% rise. Of those 2,715 people were injured with 97 losing their lives at the hands of drugs. Anybody can be affected by this, whetyher it's you or another diver taking them. Now is the time to act as this is a serious issue and it needs to be stopped before it goes too far. Being from a working class background, I am aware of several people in my community who have injuries from being involved in drug car crashes. A lot of them weren't even the ones using the drugs. Innocent people can get hurt from this so we should stop it before it gets TOO serious.
