Just Say NO to the Subdivision on Monroe! (St) Boonton

The Issue

Like many residents of our town, I’m deeply concerned as we continue to see our beautiful community being chopped into smaller and smaller lots. The infringement on fellow property owners, the disregard for our agreed Town Plan, lack of foresight in parking, turn a blind eye to clear easement and frontage issues are just a few of the many reasons why this matters so much to us. The planning board cannot allow a non resident LLC to enter town and be granted a D3 special use variance on more than a dozen variances. This is the only way the applicant can even approach this as it is so far outside of conformity standards and town laws, they would be denied application itself any other way.

Our peaceful town is transforming into an overcrowded urban landscape that strays further and further away from the original vision of our community. According to recent urbanism studies, such over-development tends to lead to significant issues in the long run, including higher cost of living, increased traffic, and environmental degradation (Urbanization and the Destruction of Natural Habitats, 2016).

This is a personal plea from our community. We are urging our local government and planning committee to make their decision based on the town’s character and residents’ lifestyle before outside LLC's profit.

Let’s stand together to protect our town, its beauty, and its spirit. Sign this petition to show your support and opposition to the new residential subdivision.
