Hi, remember that game you used to play as a kid with the colorful pets you'd feed and play with? Well, it's still around, and it's IN DANGER.

For years the Neopets community has been asking for improvements to the site and have been ignored in favor of cash grab after cash grab. This one may be the worst yet. Neopets is partnering with Moonvault and Raydium to add NFTs to Neopets.

Whatever your feelings on NFTs are, this move has all the ear-marks of a cash grab, and the company itself has all the earmarks of a pyramid scheme, holding recruiting contests that favor those who run the Discord server and an insistence on continual hype and quick dismissal of concerns as being the result of ignorance lest the energy of those who may be interested in buying be lowered, meaning a lower profit in the end.

This program has also chosen on their Twitter to suggest a partnership with another NFT company that produces lewd images of cartoon hedgehogs. While the Neopets playerbase is now mainly adults, it is still advertised as a site for children and we find this move abhorrent

This move will neither help Neopets grow, nor NFTs to progress. It is a clear cash-grab and highly suspect. We ask that you join us in demanding that Jumpstart and Netdragon reverse this decision and drop this partnership.
