C2C passengers against the new Dec2015 timetable

When the new C2C timetable is introduced in Dec 2015, it will mean longer commuting times for many passengers that travel from outer Essex into London. There is also the introduction of new Metro trains which have fewer seats. So not only will passengers have to travel for longer that they will probably have to stand for most of, if not all, of their journey. This will compromise the quality of life of the many workers who will be greatly affected by making a long journey even longer.

With the majority of trains on the new timetable stopping at more stations, notably Limehouse, West Ham and Barking it seems that the new timetable only benefits those who are travelling shorter journeys and have the option to use their TFL Oyster cards on the District line. Whereas those travelling longer distances, without the option of another line, are left paying the price.

By C2C's own admission, 95% of peak time passengers DID NOT take part the public consultation, so it's fair to say the new timetable does not reflect the voices of the majority of it's passengers.

We want C2C to LISTEN to their passengers who have taken to social media to complain. They can do this by:

1. Having another public consultation where more than 50% of peak passengers respond in order to make it fair. Paying particular attention to passengers travelling longer distances with fewer travel options.

2. Adequately advertising & publicity of the public consultation so more passengers can take part.

3. Delaying the introduction of the new timetable until the passengers' voices have been heard.

Please sign this petition so that C2C sit up, take note and do not depreciate the quality of life of the many passengers they carry every day. They won't listen unless we make them have to!!

Thank you for your support.
