It is time for a change... I know there is so many struggling with the same issue. I'm taking a stand against child support laws. Men are treated so poorly by the system. They dont seem to have any rights and if they fight for them it only makes it worse. I will give a few examples and try to be brief to help you understand why I say this. Several years ago, a man went to court to lower his child support and had a lawyer, it went from approximately 400$ to 700$. He was making around 18$ an hr. So please tell me how it goes up when he had to pay a lawyer and he didn't even make enough to afford the first order. Not that long ago, a man goes to court to lower his child support on two kids, one child is out of school and moved out, so should be dropped off the case, he also has two other children that are three and one that need to be considered in the case. He goes to court and is told if he drops the one and the court considers the other two children it will go up to 800$ instead of 600$. The little kids are in daycare plus diaper, wipes, formula,etc. The child he is paying child support on is 14. How is it that it goes up. So the mother is being paid child support on a child that doesn't even live there. She should have had to report when that child moved out. The mother is in a new house and a 2020 vechile. While the father needs a new vechile and a bigger house for his other kids. Which is why he tried to lower it in the first place. She wants his money so she can pay for her new house and car. She is married so should the step fathers income not be considered as well. Aslo she has an older child that she never tried to get child support from the biological father. But tried to get the father of her others kids to pay on the non biological child. Another example a man goes in to stop paying child support on a child that the mother left at his house and didnt return. Also left her other child that wasnt even his. The child support lady tells him there is nothing she can do. How does a man have to pay child support when the mother hasn't even seen the kids in yrs and one isn't even biologically his. A man marries a women and adopts her kids, she cheats on him and leaves him, so now he is paying child support on two kids that's not biologically his. A man gets laid off and is still expected to pay the same amount ordered. He notifies the court but has to wait six months for the court date. While hes waiting to go to court he loses his work and driving licenses because he wasnt able to follow that payment plan. He has to make a double child support payment to get his licenses back. Then after he does this he is told he has to sign a paper stating if he misses one payment he loses his licenses for a certain amount of time. The mother then takes her current husband on a vacation with this extra payment and leaves the child at her grandmother's. So the extra payment didnt get him his licenses but yet paid for his ex and her husband to take a vacation. Isn't the money supposed to be for the child. She didnt even take the child with them. Plus how is father supposed to work to help support the child if his licenses are suspended. Also what about the family in his household they are effected by all this too. These are all true stories and so many more I could tell. The court says they want the child to have equal living standards but yet the mother can choose to not work or take a low paying easy job and the man has to pay the difference. Most men have other children to support what about them. Theres women that brag about not having to work because they get so much child support. Yet I have to go to work every day to help pay Bill's because my husbands child support is so high and we have children together that have needs too. A women can walk into the court and tell the child support lady whatever date she wants and the man will have to pay from that date. I know because I took my exhusband to court. They didn't let me say from what date i wanted it to start or let me set an amount. I only wanted support not to make him suffer. That's what the court system seems to do though, make the man suffer, but in return his other kids and significant other suffer as well. The man pays for a lawyer but then the child support goes up. He probably couldn't afford the lawyer in the first place but men stand no chance with out one. I can't take it any more something has to change. It's not just men that can do wrong when it comes to children and supporting them, women do it too. So why do only the men seem to be effected. But there is rare cases were the women can be effected like the man. Case in point a women gives her exhusband the house they built and that is paid for while she has to buy a new house. They have joint custody but because she makes more money then him, he is going after her for child support. So dont think because your a women it can't happen to you. The laws need to be changed. It should be about the kids not who has more money to gain. We have to take a stand and make the court see that it is not a fair system. Help me to help you.
