Disabled Vietnam Vets dogs are ordered to be destroyed for killing a goat... that they did not kill. On the day in question, a Goat was killed around 7:15 or so. The dogs got loose AFTER the goat was already dead around 9. They were found nowhere near where the goat was... and here's the kicker... with porcupine quills and they'd been skunked... NO BLOOD, NOTHING to do with a goat in any way, shape or form. The Owners CALLED animal control and asked her to come look at the dogs so it could be confirmed they hadn't killed the goat. The ACO said... NO, she trusted them and didn't need to come out
And yet, for some reason, somehow, the dogs ultimately were blamed for killing a goat they had probably never even seen. THEN, the Judge ordered the dogs killed after a hearing in which a small Town who hates pit bulls started telling stories about these dogs as if they were werewolves... all lies. The Judge's order is ILLEGAL under NYS law, as the killing of an animal, even a companion animal by a dog DOES not allow for their death to be ordered by a Judge. But... he did it anyway and THAT is what we are appealing.

What is more disturbing is that the dog control officer, made these conditions for Ralph to have his dogs back and some of them were unattainable:

I am asking that you find these dogs “Gobanna” Blk / White female pit bull and “Thor” dark brown intact male pit bull belonging to Ralph dangerous.

I am also asking that these dogs be immediately spayed / neutered and microchipped with the microchip to have “dangerous dog” listed in info.

I would also request that the dogs be confined to a secure kennel when out of the house...the kennel consisting of a concrete base, chain link fence with a secure top / roof as well as a “double” entry door (must enter one door, close it then open a second door to take the dog out this prevents the dog from “bolting” out of the kennel)

I would also request  that the dogs be leashed while being transferred from kennel to house and leashed and muzzled when outside of the kennel or home and handled by only a capable person over the age of 21.

I strongly suggest that the owner also maintain a liability policy of not less than $50,000.

Immediate micro chipping as dangerous dogs would be of the utmost importance! The other request I hope would be completed within 30 or less with the court being supplied with documentation on completion..and “if” the dogs are euthanized proof should be given to the court (euthanasia document signed by licensed veterinarian).

Instead of even considering the above conditions, the judge has ordered these dogs to be euthanized. We are appealing the decision.
