WHY HAS THERE BEEN NO INVESTIGATION OF JUDGE BENJAMIN TELSEY FOR THREATENING JUDGE JASON WITCHER?
IF JUDGE WITCHER WOULD HAVE SENT AN EMAIL EVEN INSINUATING A NEGATIVE ACTION AGAINST JUDGE TELSEY, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED, INVESTIGATED, AND FIRED. WHAT MAKES JUDGE TELSEY DIFFERENT?
On December 5th Judge Jason Witcher exposed a pattern of discriminatory scheduling. On December 7th, Assignment Judge Benjamin Telsey threated to remove Judge Witcher from all his courts, claiming that he was unfit because he was hospitalized with an ADA covered disease, Chrons Disease.
Obviously, it was a cover for the real reason, but we don’t know which is worse, threatening to remove him because he was hospitalized for Chrons Disease, or threatening to remove him because he was honest. He had the audacity to send them through email, expecting nothing to happen, and he was right, nothing happened. The reason for the threat is clear to even a child, He wanted Judge Witcher off the bench immediately. He did not want Judge Witcher to speak out about discrimination.
But no matter how you look at it, Judge Telsey should not be still in a position of power. His bias and leadership must be questioned. His actions were arguable criminal. The threats to Judge Witcher are in emails, verifiable to anyone in the judiciary leadership to see, or have they already seen them and ignored them? Why has there been no investigation, no suspension, no reprimand? There needs to be an investigation immediately into the actions of Judge Benjamin Telsey.
