The Issue

It is time that a change in the welfare of animals in KY comes about. With the help of law enforcement, we can start right here in our community.  A dog hoarder in Albany, KY needs to be charged with animal cruelty. KSP and the county judge executive have been notified and they have only asked the hoarder to "clean up the mess". Day in and day out,  these animals suffer in deplorable conditions. The original investigating fish and wildlife officer gave details of the conditions and confirmed that the animals, were in fact, living in their own feces, cages were crammed with animals, and from what he could tell from a distance (as the hoarder wasn’t home for him to get permission to continue on to the entire property), there was at least 50-75 dogs, if not more. He pointed out that there was a 100 lb Rottweiler in a 3X3 cage, with barely enough room to turn around. This hoarder needs more than just to clean up her mess! She needs to be charged with cruelty for allowing this to go on and the animals need to be removed! Actions need to be taken to ensure that another animal never comes into her "care" again!
