Revaluate the final judgement of Rusty (the San Antonio Miracle Dog) Animal Abuse Case#467847, heard in San Antonio TX County Court 12 before Judge Scott Roberts.

The Issue

From Rusty:

As you know I was subjected to some of the worse humans have to offer, abuse, neglect, and starvation. I was ultimately left to die in a small hole that I dug myself to be my grave.

All while my abuser watched me slowly dying day after day from her safe, protected home.

Well her day in court finally arrived. She didn’t show up. Then, just this last week, she went into court off docket – which is allowed in this court system. The amazing officers that saved me were not there to testify, and notice given to ACS – the folks that tended to me day after day, and even my loving foster mom that taught me that not ALL humans want to hurt me, was not significant for them to be there to testify either.
The District Attorney's office asked the judge to sentence my abuser to 9 months in jail.

The judge instead chose to sentence my abuser to a $200 FINE WITH ZERO JAIL TIME."
I would like to point out that in San Antonio an improper lane change while driving is a $202 fine.

The court feels that my life is valued less than not using your blinker. She was also given 10hrs of community service. The public schools here REQUIRE that students have twice that amount of community service just to graduate from high school.

My foster mom, my mom and my dad all share with you how great I am doing. But the truth is, I am still healing.

I still have little or no hair on my back legs, my lower back still has scabs and scars.

I don’t trust others – people, dogs, cars or kids unless I really really know them.

I am getting help, but I have required help for more than a year and will likely need help for years to come.

All because my abuser felt I was not worthy of life. I am only 2 years old now and have a lot to offer!

If you think that I am worth more than the most minor of traffic infractions, and that the justice system should know this, please join me letting the court know.
