Joshua Tree is a beautiful, family friendly desert community with limited resources to protect its residents. Judge Nancy Ayers of Ventura County Superior Court believes it is ok to place their violent sex offenders into our community. We must come together and voice our opposition to this notion that we are a dumping ground for violent criminals of any type, especially Sexually Violent Predators. Our local Sheriff is holding an emergency community meeting on October 21st, 2019 at the Sportsman Club in Joshua Tree at 5:30PM. The Sportsman Club is located at 6225 Sunburst St., Joshua Tree, CA 92252. Please attend this meeting to voice your support of our local representatives in opposing this placement. As a father to two young children living within a mile of the proposed placement location for this Sexually Violent Predator, I am outraged at audacity of Judge Ayers. This predator is a repeat offender with absolutely no ties to Joshua Tree or the Morongo Basin.

Our local representatives are planning on attending the final determination hearing in Ventura County Superior Court on November 7, 2019 at 9:00AM, opposing this placement on behalf of all us in the Morongo Basin. Hopefully this petition will help them in their opposition.
