Return Rose and her Puppies illegally seized to Ashley Edens

Return Rose and her Puppies illegally seized to Ashley Edens
The Issue
PETITION FOR THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS JUDGE BRANDY HALFORD TO ORDER THE IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF ASHLEY EDENS’ DOGS TO HER, IMMEDIATELY.
The following persons, each a citizen of the United States of America being aware that on or about June 28th, 2018 City of Taylor Animal Control, located in the town of Taylor, TX, under false pretenses, lacking probable cause, their officers with the help of other law enforcement officers and Taylor Fire Department illegally cut the lock from her silver Logan Coach Stockman Livestock Trailer.
Rose, the puppies, along with the wire crate they were housed in, a Pet Lodge Medium wire crate rated for a 50lb dog were seized by Taylor Animal Control.
To take the dogs they crossed her sleeping arrangements on the floor from the night prior and removed her Adult female,Toy Australian Dog “Rose”, her blue merle puppy located on the bed, and three other puppies, one black tri and two blue merles located in the crate with Rose.
Rose is 12 inches tall and weighed 14lbs. The puppies weighed 1-2 lbs each at the time. Rose is a working dog of sheep, goats and calves, she is very athletic and could jump out the 11” of openings all the way around 3 sides of the silver trailer. The puppies were small enough to fit in the opening under the back gate, proven by the one puppy that escaped the crate and was playing with the others through the bars of the crate. The crate was used to secure mom and pups from escaping the stock trailer. Rose’s 25’ leash she was seen being walked on by neighbors approximately 20 mins prior to the arrival of Taylor Police.
After all this time, and Ashley having to pay $75.00 every day to keep the animals from being permanently confiscated, and / or sold to others and / or killed, Taylor Animal Control continues to keep these very valuable animals that Ashley refers to being her ‘family' and represent her livelihood as working dogs with her cattle. Taylor Animal Control’s's own veterinarian, found after doing an inspection of each dog that the animals were in good health. Rose had a .2 rise in temperature which could be accounted for by forcefully removing her from and her puppies from her familiar environment, no treatment was done by the veterinarian to any of the puppies and Rose was only given subcutaneous fluids as a precaution not knowing how long she had been in the trailer and nursing the puppies.
WE DEMAND that Williamson County Court 1 Judge Brandy Hallford issue an order to release Ashley’s dogs to her immediately.
