Mandate Mask Usage in Williamson County Texas

Mandate Mask Usage in Williamson County Texas
The Issue
Williamson County has seen a significant increase in Covid-19 cases recently? We are at the start of a Covid-19 Spike. Our local hospitals are yet again, preparing for the rapid influx of patients.
As of June 22, more than 3,400 people are in Texas hospitals because of coronavirus, which is an increase of 162 patients in the past 24 hours. Hospitalizations in Texas have hit a new record for 10 days in a row, and on June 19, COVID-19 cases in the state passed 100,000.
Governor Abbott said, "If we do not start wearing masks to slow the spread of COVID-19, it could result in [businesses] actually having to close back down," said Gov. Abbott. "Our goal is to keep businesses open, to keep society engaged, and one of the most effective tools that we can do that is by people wearing masks."
We have seen a divide in masks being used in our county and are beginning to hear about already stressed local businesses shutting down due to COVID outbreaks amongst their staff.
Judge Bill Gravell was quoted recently in saying that mask usage is common sense, yet we know that it is a clear issue in our county.
Let's work together as true Texans do to help keep our hospital beds available and our local businesses open by increasing mask usage in our county! If we all wear a mask, we can keep our state open. Help our Williamson County make a difference by signing our petition to mandate mask usage for anyone entering a place of business or county building as well as masks for all business employees.
