Residents of Jubilee Ward in Enfield are growing increasingly concerned about the urgent need to address road safety measures in the  community.  

In recent years, there have been many injury accidents that highlights the precarious nature of our roads. Parents worry about their children's safety while walking to nearby schools, and many elderly residents find it challenging to navigate busy roads safely. We believe that it is the responsibility of Enfield Labour run Council to ensure the safety and well-being of all its residents.

Jubilee Ward deserves a comprehensive road safety plan that could include road safety cameras, traffic calming, lower speeds around Schools. The key is that the Labour Council of 16 years to finally provide funding and put forward a plan that is agreeable to residents. 

The petition also opposes LTN road closures that simply relocate traffic and increase pollution. The Labour Council is pushing for an Edmonton LTN that will push more traffic and speeding cars into the Ward. 

According to the World Health Organization, road traffic injuries are the leading cause of death for children and young adults aged 5-29 years. This statistic underscores the urgent need for intervention in areas like Jubilee Ward.

We urge the Enfield Council to take immediate action to implement essential safety measures. By prioritizing road safety, we can make Jubilee Ward a safer place for families, children, and all members of the community.
