Walter Cronkite College Council has the unique ability to govern over all the student organizations at Cronkite.

Though we cannot speak for the Cronkite School itself, as a student body organization, we are in full support of our peers in the Black Lives Matter movement.

Our motto is “Speak.Propose.Influence;” which are words from Walter Cronkite himself. For that, we have decided to create a this petition in which we encourage journalists to pledge that being unbias does not mean being unable to call out injustice. Some may feel unease at the cost of being unbiased. We are encouraging all journalists to sign this petition as a stance for human rights, which is not an issue of bias, it is a stance for human rights.
