The Norristown Farm Park is a beautiful place for residents to enjoy various recreational activities and observe wildlife in their natural habitats.  364 days out of the year, the park is a quiet and safe home to many animals that peacefully survive there without harm from humans.  However, on one day in January, lottery selected hunters are allowed to shoot and kill antlerless deer in the name of "population control".  This inhumane and senseless act of murder is not necessary, as deer populations will regulate themselves.  Humans are encroaching on every piece of land that was originally inhabited by wildlife and leaving animals homeless. They deserve to be safe in the few areas they have left to live.  Please sign this petition to stop the annual Norristown Farm Park deer hunt.
