In short, 77 per cent of Australians don't realise that shops can legally refuse cash and that's what we want to change. Australian retailers should be mandated by law to accept cash and Aussie consumers should be able to choose to pay with legal tender notes and coins if we want.
99 per cent of respondents support a legal right to choose cash to pay for essentials.
98 per cent of Aussies are concerned about the possibility of a cashless society and 99 per cent say they DON"T SUPPORT a cashless future.
But what do Aussies love about cash? 86 per cent nominate paying no fees as the number one reason they like shopping with notes and coins. 82 per cent love the privacy and the reliability of physical cash.
Please complete the survey, share with friends and help us stand up for our right to choose how we pay.
Thanks
