Hi Cash Lovers,
Firstly, happy new year! I hope you, your family and loved ones are managing to stay safe and healthy in these difficult times.
Secondly, cash is officially back in style. Last week the RBA reported that ATM cash withdrawals are up for the third month in a row.
Withdrawals from an ATM are almost always $20 and $50 notes so this is money people are using for spending, they are not hoarding $100 notes. In fact the amount of cash notes on issue fell last week, just slightly, so our physical money is circling around in the economy, not being held tightly under mattresses.
We have an easy survey we would like as many people as possible to click through and participate in. This survey asks 10 simple questions about your preferred ways to pay and your attitude to cash, cards and phone payments.
Our Survey of Aussie attitudes to cash and other ways to pay is anonymous and will take you just five minutes to complete (maximum). Your participation will help us tell government and the industry what Australians really think.
Please share the survey and the petition with your networks so we can continue to stand up for our right to choose how we pay.
