Today I want to tell you the sad story of Wink. Wink was a sweet elderly blind cat, held in the Seaaca high kill shelter, located in Downey, Los Angeles County. For weeks we had been trying to rescue him, looking for a certified rescue that would welcome him. Three days ago the seaaca shelter suddenly put Wink on the deathrow by 5 pm that same day and then delivered Wink to a certified rescue who came forward for Wink. When the rescue took Wink and took him to the veterinary clinic for a check-up, the vet immediately found Wink's poor health conditions, dehydration, very severe muscle atrophy and also Wink had also stopped eating ... he no longer accepted the food, in conclusion he was almost dead. The rescue could not help but give Wink human anesthesia ... After his death, the vet discovered that Wink had numerous ulcers on his tongue, in conclusion Wink was in the terminal stage of kidney disease and while he was in seaaca shelter was not cared for, was severely neglected. For this reason the high kill shelter seaaca gave Wink to a rescue when Wink was almost dead, without warning of his serious health conditions, because seaaca knew that the rescue could not do anything but euthanize the human Wink, so seaaca did the responsibility is removed and also the controversy! Because Los Angeles County was declared nokill by law! Instead these shelters continue to neglect and mistreat animals, kill them in secret or let them die! And check out the Wink photo attached to this update! To take pictures of the animals, they keep them tied with chopsticks around their necks to keep them still !!! Please spread Wink's sad story and continue sharing this petition, in memory of Wink and all the animals that are abused and neglected and brutally killed in American killer shelters every day!
