End the Blockade on Yemen

End the Blockade on Yemen
Why this petition matters

The Yemeni Liberation Movement has been on hunger strike since March 29.
We have one demand - the US must end ALL support to the Saudi blockade that has caused mass starvation in Yemen.
For nearly six years, the U.S.-backed Saudi-led coalition has imposed a crippling air, land, and sea blockade on Yemen. This blockade has been a leading driver of starvation and the broader humanitarian disaster in Yemen. There are now 16 million Yemenis suffering from malnutrition, including 400,000 children who may die without urgent assistance. Recent reports from the UN World Food Program and CNN have shed light on how the blockade is preventing large quantities of fuel from entering Yemen, diminishing access to food and hindering hospitals' ability to function.
Since December 2020, the Saudi coalition has blocked fuel from entering the country. By doing this, all food and other necessities are unable to be transported into the country, with the ports lined up with rotted food. Hospitals are unable to run their generators and some are forced to close as more children are admitted for malnutrition. Months have already passed and we believe many Yemenis have already died.
Enough is enough. It’s time for President Biden to take decisive action and tell Saudi Arabia it must stop using starvation as a weapon of war and lift its blockade on Yemen now.
