I have high concerns for the lives of those who are incarcerated. The father of my child was recently took away . The unexpected happened. I recently found out I was pregnant and it’s been very hard for me to stay strong due to the fact that my boyfriend is surrounded by people who tested positive for COVID.  My boyfriend is my provider because we didn’t want to risk my health while pregnant. There are lots of people in the Oklahoma correctional facility that has tested positive. My boyfriend has made note of everything to contact local news etc.This is very stressful not just for me all other families too. Just because they are in jail doesn’t mean treat them like nothing . There are innocent people and there are guilty. But still human and still need the care we have on the outside on the inside . There is no social distancing going on. The other day he told me somebody tested back positive didn’t have a mask on and came up to everybody and told them. How sanitary is that? There has been deaths , they are suffering worse then we are on the outside. We have the chance to social distance we have the opportunities they don’t have . It’s not fair to them. And it’s not fair to the concerned families . Health rights is our rights. Proper care for inmates should not be to much to ask . At the end of the day those people are still fathers , still a son, still a person a loved one. No proper medicine nothing to help them , it’s stressful for us families that have to worry about it. I know what comes with this, I’m 19 turning 20 I’ve lived to see a lot for my age and one thing I know is there are going to be people that agree and disagree. But what I will not accept is no change in the health procedures that can be practiced to keep from getting sick. Cells are over populated , people are being held during transfer because they tested positive . This makes no sense , my boyfriend was healthy and doing fine before going to Oklahoma correctional facility now he suddenly has COVID?! My partner shouldn’t even be in there right now . And he hasn’t had the opportunity to go to court to get released . This is very concerning. And I lose sleep at night worrying about it. Imagine being in a enclosed room with 2-10 people whom 4/10 probably is positive. They are not cleaning cells , they are not providing hand sanitizer or anything . They are not probably quarantine. It does not matter where you are , you should always be allowed proper help and care. PLEASE do something about it . I need my boyfriend , some people literally are in jail just sitting because it’s so packed and nobody is being let to court to be released to be heard, nothing. The solution is simple, let them go to court , if innocent of a situation let them out to their concerned families, some of these people are providers for their family it’s not fair. We are already dealing with enough as a country . Have more nurses have more medicine have more help. Proper sanitation, proper cleaning . Shouldn’t be hard. Proper social distancing shouldn’t be hard but it is because it a over packed , and it’s over packed because they aren’t letting people go to court nor get transferred. I am a first time mom , pregnant . Can’t even work because of health conditions , but yet I still try. Putting me and my baby at risk because my boyfriend is in a situation he can’t help. He has been incarcerated for almost over a month and hasn’t been to court not 1 time except to admit him in. It stresses me out but for my baby I try to remain calm and positive . But I honestly can’t take it anymore. I need help , I need to get my voice out there and really make people feel what I feel everyday just for 5 seconds to at-least be heard and understood . Of course not all will understand . But for those who do . I am just as concerned and hurt. Nobody should go through this , we have to put our voices out there or nobody will ever understand . Who will be here to help me and take care of me? I have no family he was my only family and now we have our own family forming in my belly . And I can’t even think straight because if my concerns and because I’m constantly sick . This would mean so much if this got out to the world even the states and to those who care and will help .
