On 4/24/2017 Fremont county school district decided not to extend Jon Pavlicek's 2017/2018 contract, and he was put on administrative leave for the remainder of the school year by Superintendent George Welsh. This decision was based on legal advise the board was given after the nights board meeting. Canon cities own daily record quoted Mr. Pavilcek saying " He wasn't given an official reason for the leave Tuesday morning". Mr. Pavlicek went on to say that his decision he initially made to resign was pressured by the School districts administration, and on Friday morning, hours before the board planned to vote he withdrew his resignation. Tuesday 4/25/2017 Pavlicek said quote "He planned to return to work, I'm committed to doing the work that needs to be done to pass onto the next principal he said. But I'm not even allowed to step into the building". Please help sign this petition to get answers from the School district, and get our principal back. Thank you!
