The Board of Park Commissioners will be meeting via zoom this Wednesday 01/27/2021 at 9am. They will be taking public comment. I will post the link day of when it becomes available.
The Board of Park Commissioners is responsible for making the final decision on the fate of the Columbus statue. While the Special Committee for Commemorative Works has yet to make an advisement to the board, it is vital to apply public pressure on the board, as well as make them aware that the public is watching them and their decision process.

I will be asking that they publicly commit to following the recommendation of the special committee. I will also ask that Councilman Nicolas Narducci do the right thing and recuse himself from the process as he has admitted his bias. I will ask that any other board member who feels their bias would prevent them from making a decision that honors the special commitee recommendations follow suite.
