5 days to save our Zaa'tari Kids Village container!

The Issue

Valentina Osborn, founder of small UK-based charity RefugEase (no. 1175022), is calling upon the management of Jordan Institution for Standards and Metrology (JISM), AND  Jordan Food & Drug Administration, to immediately release a container filled with aid for the refugees of Zaa'tari village sent in February 2017.

In a nutshell: After eight long months of battling, we are now facing the complete destruction of the contents of a 40ft container of emergency aid and education supples that arrived in Jordan, headed for the Syria border.

The items inside were promised to the primary-school aged children and youth of a our recently created haven: Zaa'tari Kids Village and School.

***The school is running on NO supplies until we free this container***

Paperwork for the destruction of the container is has started. We have 5 days to save the contents.

We do not have any funds or storage to accept it back in the UK.

*******

The detailed backstory:

>>After many unjust delays and costs were applied by clearance and shipping lines, and after VERY narrowly avoiding extortionate port storage costs that would have bankrupted the charity:

THE CONTAINER FINALLY REACHED CUSTOMS.

>>The second nightmare began.

Upon inspection, mouse droppings were found in the container. As a large proportion of the contents is newly boxed, we were told to expect the container's release.

Customs agreed to fumigate the container and decontaminate areas that were relevant in order to release 1000s of brand-new packaged school bags, furniture, brand new stationery sets, crafts, 100s gift packs from UK children, toys and furniture that are not contaminated.

Without further explanation, the full destruction of the contents of the container is ordered.
