Jordan Brand has been using the same outdated "Arch Beam Propulsion TD" traction plate on general release Jordan cleats for over a decade. This traction plate is simply heavy and ugly. It's decent for "Big Skill" players like QBs,TEs, DEs, and LB's but nearly un-usable for "Skill" players such as RBs, WRs, and DBs. 

Jordan Brand is capable of putting newer traction plates on their cleats as seen with their athletes and Jordan schools. For example, Tyrann Mathieu, wears low-cut Jordan 1s with the Nike Vapor Untouchable traction plate. Also, Jordan schools like UNC and Michigan get Jordan cleats with both the Vapor plate and the Alpha plate.

So, we know Jordan brand is capable of putting these newer, more innovative plates on their football cleats. It's just a matter of making it the standard and putting them on their general release cleats. If Jordan Brand decided to use the newer plates, I think we'd see A LOT more Jordan cleats on the field at all levels and they would sell even more than they do now. We are simply asking for a performance upgrade (or atleast give us plate options).
