My name is Julia. I am an 11 year old girl with a gluten intolerance.  It's really hard to to go to birthday parties because I can never eat the cake or the pizza.  I love sweet treats and this is why Violette bakery means so much to me because I can enjoy cupcakes, cakes, cookies, ice-cream sandwiches that are all insanely delicious that don't make me sick!  We usually stop there on our way to a party so I can pick out a sweet treat to bring along.  This is where I plan to buy my birthday cake for my party on September 15th!

I learned that Violette bakery may need to close because the landlords are raising the rent 300% after initially verbally agreeing to raising the rent just 25%.  If this happens, there won't be anywhere for me to pick up an amazing treat which is far better tasting I am sure than anyone's birthday cake or one that my mother would make (sorry Mom)!

I don't know of any gluten free bakeries in the area.  There was one in Arlington that closed and moved to Woburn but no other bakery close to me!

Please sign this petition and ask the landlords not to raise the rent by 300% so that Violette Bakery can survive.  Make all the kids with gluten intolerance/celiac disease in the Cambridge area happy!
