Keep the bus service to our homes: Whippet coaches plan to cut services from November 14th

The Issue

Residents living in towns and villages across Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire rely on the Whippet bus services for transport to work, school, and leisure activities. From November 14th new proposed timetables for the routes 1, 1a, 3, 5 and 21 are set to strip back these already reduced timetables.

Towns and villages affected include Fenstanton, Hilton, Bar Hill, Papworth, Yelling, Graveley, Cambourne, Hardwick, Houghton, Wyton, Hemingford Abbots, Hemingford Grey, Godmanchester, Ramsey, Pidley, Colne, Somersham, Earith, Bluntisham, Needingworth, Holywell, St Ives and Huntingdon.

By signing this petition it will increase the pressure on Whippet to rethink their proposed timetables. Furthermore this petition hopes to allow Whippet to understand that their cuts in bus service are putting peoples jobs and education at risk. The aim is for a dialogue to be established between the company and those affected.

As a college student relying on Whippet buses I personally will feel the consequences of the changes on November 14th. I know many others will also struggle with a sudden change of schedule. If you wish to support the efforts to keep Whippet bus services please sign this petition. Thankyou.
