We demand an overview of Concentrix (HMRC) methods of 'Compliance Checks'.

Concentrix is the third party organisation that is employed by HMRC for compliance checks regarding Tax Credits.

Tax Credit payments are being stopped sometimes in FULL, in most cases without warning, whilst the recipient is investigated.

ANYONE can be randomly selected for 'compliance checks' at ANYTIME.

Accusations are usually in the form of a letter asking for proof of:

Working hours, child care, self-employment, or single parent status (ie; not declaring a partner).

Payments can be stopped without warning, forcing families into crisis when living costs cannot be met. You are in the system of ‘guilty until proven innocent’.

After supplying up to a year’s worth of 'evidence' the claimant is then put into a lengthy process that can take months to resolve, all whilst having the possibility of no money coming in.

Tax Credits are there to bring income up to a minimum 'standard of living' and having them removed is forcing families into poverty with nowhere to turn to help with the deficit.

Concentrix MUST be looked into and a review of their practises undertaken by HMRC. Leaving families below the poverty line, often for no real reason, is a disgrace and the time taken to reinstate Tax Credits beyond reason and all fairness.

Mr Thompson we are calling on you to look into the practises of this company and we demand a fairer system that does not leave families without a basic standard of living whilst decisions are made.
