Gunung Leuser National Park in Sumatra is the last place on earth where Rhinos, Elephants, Tigers, Orangutans, and Sun Bears all live in the same ecosystem. One of the most pristine and best protected parts of the park is the kappi plateau, which is home to hundreds of elephants.

But Hitay Holdings, a Turkish Company, wants to build a geothermal plant there, even though there are much better places to do so outside of the national park. In order to build the plant, they will need to construct roads and bulldoze precious rainforest. Gunung Leuser National Park already faces many threats. With three fourths of Sumatra's rainforest already gone, poaching and logging are pushing animals in leuser to extinction  

The Aceh government must reject this proposal. Please stand against the development of the leuser ecosystem and sign this petition. We cannot afford to lose any more of Sumatras forest to development.
