We are all very proud and overjoyed to see Richard Torrez Jr. come this far in his boxing career. After many long and tiring fights, he still has that drive to keep going. Every single one of us will stand with him and continue to send love to him from home. We will always be with you, every step of the way. To be at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics is already an unparalleled accomplishment on its own. What is more extraordinary, is that he went to the finals and won Silver at his first Olympics. This is not the end for his journey, it is only the beginning.

Kiki is a Valedictorian and Mission Oak Alumni. An inspiration to many children and adults alike. Showing them that no matter what the odds are, success can be assured. Since Tokyo, Tulare once again gets to see an astounding Olympian represent our part of the Central Valley.

I am calling on for the creation of a Mission Oak High School stadium to be named after him. Honoring his family’s legacy and the contribution that he has given to our city and country.

Signing this petition is the start as it will take a lot of time and money to get this done. Share this so that we may be able to start the plans to get this moving. Thank you, and once again, we are proud of you Richard “Kiki” Torrez Jr.!
