You Can Make a Difference in Making Our Voices Heard!

By signing this petition, you will be strengthening the message to Zynga, the company behind Words With Friends, that they need to bring back Lightning Round. Lightning Round is not only enjoyed by countless people around the world but is a huge part of many players’ daily lives. 

Lightning Round is the one game on the Words With Friends app where there is always a chance at a fair game. Players can enjoy an honest, competitive game with no time for cheating to be effective. 

Lightning Round is also part of achievements to help players increase their level on Words With Friends. These achievements are crucial to many players. If Lightning Round is not restored, what happens to those Lightning Round achievements? Millions of players have wasted their valuable time fulfilling these goals, many of which are left unfinished with no pages awarded for their hard work. Was it all in vain?

Strong word-based communities have been created by Lightning Round lovers, and many meaningful bonds have been made there. Team Flash on Discord is just one of those cherished and beloved communities; players on multiple platforms have expressed their displeasure over the loss of Lightning Round. Please let Zynga know they are hurting devoted players by taking Lightning Round away from the members of these communities. We want the Lighting Round community to continue to grow and connect, but without Lightning Round, this can't happen. Too many of us feel sad, angry, lost and hopeless and miss the game we all know and love. In the meantime, the community will continue to grieve the loss of one of our most precious enjoyments in life and one of the greatest games ever devised, Lightning Round. Zynga, hear our cries and Bring Back Lightning Round!

"Team Flash was the first known Lightning Round community founded in May 2020. Started by 3 people, the group has since expanded to almost 300 diehard players who compete for high scores, discuss high level strategy, and systematically collaborate to play in the same Lightning Round games for intense competition or unrivaled teamwork. The group's dedication to the game has led to high caliber accomplishments such as winning a Lightning Round game in 30 seconds and individual scores over 1,000 points. Please consider the level of devotion such players have to this game to achieve these feats."

We are urging Zynga to consider all this -- to value and put their customers' opinions first -- over profits, over new features and over ideas they assume we will like. We have been telling them how much we love Lightning Round and that nothing can replace it. We want them to know how much this game means to us!
