My name is Alexandria Walker. In 2013, I began my sober wellness journey after a life-changing encounter with Christ. Today, as Ms. Woman Illinois United States 2025, I proudly advocate for my platform, Sober Wellness for Empowered Living, inspiring others to embrace healthier, purpose-driven choices that honor themselves and uplift their communities.
Sobriety transformed my physical, mental, and emotional health, strengthened my confidence, and provided me with a clear sense of purpose. It deepened my faith and guided me to make intentional choices that align with my values. Through this journey, I’ve cultivated resilience, discovered my true potential, and forged a path that continues to fuel both my personal growth and professional success.
Today, I invite you to take a stand for a healthier, happier life by joining Sober October! Sober October is a month-long challenge to abstain from alcohol, reset your habits, and build healthier routines that support lasting physical, mental, and emotional well-being. This challenge is not just about giving up alcohol; it's about adopting healthier habits that contribute to overall well-being.
Statistics show that alcohol is a significant factor in numerous health issues, including liver disease, certain cancers, and mental health disorders. The World Health Organization reports that alcohol consumption contributes to 2.6 million deaths per year.
Participating in Sober October allows you to take a proactive step toward reducing these risks and embracing healthier habits. Taking part in this challenge can lead to meaningful positive changes, including:
