Dear friends,
Tomorrow - Wednesday 15 December - is the 5th anniversary of our forced displacement from Aleppo.
We want to recognise this important moment by sharing stories of Syrian revolutionaries - of our friends - from that time.
Tomorrow, we will launch a new 6 part video series (on actionforsama.com), sharing interviews of first-hand accounts from a range of special guests: first responders, doctors, local council members, a teacher, humanitarians and a journalist.
Please see the trailer attached to this message and we’d be very grateful if you could share this with your networks and across social media. Tweet the trailer here now.
We also plan to showcase items in a public exhibition in P21 Gallery (Kings Cross) for one evening only (Weds 15 Dec, 4-8pm), where you can discover further stories from the displacement days and beyond, and see an interactive art display by Salem Al Altrash.
We know that it is a difficult time right now with Coronavirus and things can change very quickly, but we are still going ahead for now, where masks will be worn and social distancing measures are in place.
Thank you for helping us to raise Syrian voices around this significant anniversary.
From Hamza, Waad and everyone at Action For Sama
